Dr. Bobbie Sue Schutter, PhD
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
Serving Florida and Washington
Navigating the world of parenthood is a complex challenge. From extremes highs full or love, hope, and joy to extreme lows with disappointment, grief, and fear I am here to support you where ever you are on this journey.
My research interest, since 1999, has been the transition to motherhood and protective factors for maternal wellbeing. I utilize research driven theories and techniques to facilitate positive change, support wellbeing, and hold a space of understanding and empathy during significant life changes and challenges.
I am the mother of 3 adult children and have navigated a difficult pregnancy, a traumatic birthing experience, and parenting children through developmental difficulties. My counseling style is person-centered, warm, and inviting. It is my primary goal to allow my clients and patients to feel seen, heard, and understood. My counseling theory and philosophy is a combination of Narrative, Cognitive Behavioral, and Solution Focused.

I have had the pleasure of working as a professional Social Worker since 1997. My experience includes: private practice mental health, non-profit community mental health with children and families, K-12 school counseling, working in prisons and jails with incarcerated adults, and as an Associate Professor.

I look forward to walking alongside you.
