You planned, prepared and hoped. What does it mean if the day your baby was born wasn't the best day of

your life?

It feels like everyone else has smiling photos of their first moments. It can feel so hard to process and heal. This group will help you find yourself on the other side of a difficult or traumatic birth experience.

You will be joined by others who get it where you're coming from. Gain expert guidance for the next

stage of your healing.

Group Outline:

- Week 1 – “Make It Count”- Group Intros

- Week 2 – “All The Feels” – Birth Trauma and Duality of Emotions

- Week 3 – “Traumatic Parenting” – The experience of parenting after a bad birth

- Week 4 – “The Price Of Trauma” – Processing grief and loss

- Week 5 – “They Mean Well” - Navigating relationships, boundaries and care

- Week 6 – “Own Your Story” – Healing the story of your child’s birth

- Week 7 – “Better Days Ahead” – Posttraumatic Growth

- Week 8 – “Wrap It Up” – Group closure, integrate your new learning!

When: Thursdays at 10am Pacific/ 1:00pm Eastern Starting Feb 9

Led by Kayleigh Summers

This group is offered in special collaboration with Kayleigh Summers @Thebirthtrauma_mama Kayleigh is a therapist, mom, and birth trauma survivor. She suffered an Amniotic Fluid Embolism during the birth of her son Callahan in 2019, which almost took her life. Since then, She's used her skillset as a therapist and lived experiences as a birth trauma survivor to create a supportive community for others who have experienced trauma during the perinatal period. She creates content and resources and offers spaces like this group to help other birth trauma survivors navigate their healing.
