Description

Join us for a practical, engaging training designed for professionals who support caregivers and young children through family transitions, stress, and changing family dynamics. Hosted by Rebecca Johnson, LMFT, this 2-hour session will focus on supporting diverse family systems, reducing caregiver overwhelm, and helping young children maintain connection and emotional safety when caregivers are struggling.

What You Will Learn:

  • Supporting Changing Family Systems: Understand common challenges in blended, foster, kinship, guardian, and coparenting families, including attachment, belonging, loyalty conflicts, sibling relationships, and transitions between households.

  • Understanding the Mental Load of Caregiving: Recognize the visible and invisible demands caregivers carry and how chronic overwhelm can affect functioning, relationships, and connection with children.

  • Supporting Children Through Caregiver Stress: Learn how caregiver depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and other mental health challenges may show up in the emotional and behavioral functioning of young children.

This class is worth 2 CE Hours.
